Jonathan Hunter BDS, FDS RCPS, MSc (London), MOrth (Eng)
Jonathan graduated from Victoria University, Manchester with Honours and then worked in a number of teaching and district general hospitals in Maxillofacial Surgery. He was then based at the Birmingham Dental Hospital for 3 years as a registrar, working in all specialities of dentistry with close attachment to the Birmingham Childrens Hospital. During this time he gained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons, Glasgow.
Jonathan then studied Orthodontics at the Eastman Postgraduate Dental Institute, London. He gained his Masters degree and was awarded the Ian Reynolds Memorial Award for Research. This was followed by his Membership in Orthodontics of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Jonathan is a member of North Yorkshire Orthodontic Study Group and owner and Director of York Orthodontics. He is also a member of the British Orthodontic Society and is on the General Dental Council Specialist Register for Orthodontics. He has presented his research to the British Society of Dental Research and lectured to various dental societies.
Current interests include assessing clinical efficiency with self-ligating brackets. In 2005 he was involved with The Orthodontic Company in lecturing in Sheffield and London on the use of a self-ligating bracket system (System R) in Specialist Practice.
When not at work Jonathan is a keen French Horn player. He also enjoys dinghy sailing in his spare time. He lives in York and is married with 4 children.
Lucie is the Practice Manager & Treatment Coordinator at York Orthodontics.
She qualified as a Dental Nurse in 1994 and has gained further qualifications in Oral health Education, Dental Radiography and Practice Management.
Lucie has worked in Orthodontics since 1995 and joined York Orthodontics in 2002.
